WILLEM MILLER

BIO
Willem Miller was born in Pacific Grove California. His family includes Mother and Father Ahnalisa and Michael Miller, older brother Kane Miller and older sister and actor Amara Miller (The Descendants). Willem lives between Pacific Grove and Los Angeles. His Mother noticed a penchant for storytelling when he was four and thought he would enjoy the stage. His first performance was at 5 when he was asked to say “Please help us save the whales” for a PSA directed and produced by Kate Miller. Willem began an impassioned monologue which was used for the piece rather than the original plan of interviewing several adult ocean advocates. The PSA was re named “Willem and the Whales” and went on to win several awards at film festivals throughout California including the Blue Ocean Film Festival. Willem spoke several times to crowds of 500 or more expressing concern for the health and welfare of our oceans and received praise from Fabien Cousteau and ocean biologist Sylvia Earle. At 7, he went on to star in “Think about It” a PSA for The Plastic Pollution Coalition. During the filming of The Descendants, co-starring his sister Amara Miller, he was discovered and invited to audition for Stella Alex from The Savage Agency in Los Angeles. He has guest starred in the CBS show The Millers and three consecutive seasons in the ABC Freeform show Stitchers. Willem was cast to play young Tom Sawyer in Band of Robbers with Writer, Director, Producer brothers Adam and Aaron Nee in 2015. He also worked with Lily Tomlin and director Paul Weitz in Grandma, 2015. Willem is very physically active and enjoys climbing, Lacrosse, Parkour and sailing.
